The teachers had a wish list of books they wanted to have in their classroom posted by their classrooms. Parents purchasing books were given a chance to pick up a raffle ticket and win an Easter basket filled with some fun goodies in it. Thursday April 11th we had a family night for the book fair from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. All children and parents alike were allowed to come and purchase any of the books they liked. The children were allowed to come dressed in their pajamas. Everybody brought their poster along with their family photo to share with the classmates on Friday.
We hosted a trike o thon this week. All proceeds went to St. Jude hospital to help children in need of medical care. On Friday April 12th the children were allowed to bring their bicycles or tricycles to ride laps around the parking lot. We sent home the packets on Friday March 29th explaining how to donate money to this needy cause. Volunteers interested signed up for the cause. (Toddler & Transition Classroom timing started at 9:30 – 10:30am and Primary classroom at 10:30 – 11:30am.)
The week of the Young Child is an annual celebration to spotlight early learning, young children, their teachers, families, and communities. This is celebrated April 8-12. During this week we will have some fun activities for the children.
The children will have their spring parties. There will be a sign- up sheet on your child’s classroom door if you would like to bring a special treat to share with their classmates.
Earth day your child may wear green this day in celebration of earth day. The children will plant something special on this day in their garden area.
The children will have their spring and class pictures taken on this day. Please come dressed in your spring attire, please bring your child’s uniform they will wear this for their class picture. Pictures will be taken from 7:30am-12:30 p.m
